Kairo AI

Kairo is your AI assistant in Coline. The main way to talk to Kairo is the Kairo page — a dedicated chat interface where you can have ongoing conversations, ask complex questions, and get work done without switching contexts.

The Kairo Page

The Kairo page is your primary workspace for AI-assisted work. Open it from the sidebar or press Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+K.

What You Can Do

Research across your workspace

• "Find every doc that mentions the API redesign"
• "What did we decide about pricing in last month's meeting notes?"
• "Show me all tasks assigned to Sarah that are overdue"
• "Summarize the #engineering channel from the past week"

Create and update content

• "Draft a project proposal based on our Q3 roadmap doc"
• "Create tasks from the action items in this meeting"
• "Update the API docs with the new endpoints we discussed"

Analyze and process data

• "Calculate the average completion time for sprint tasks"
• "Analyze this sheet and tell me which customers haven't been contacted in 30 days"

Plan and organize

Long-running work The Kairo page keeps context across the conversation. Reference something from 20 messages ago and Kairo still knows what you're talking about. Pick up where you left off yesterday without re-explaining everything.

Command Bar (Cmd/Ctrl+K)

Quick search and one-off commands without opening the full Kairo page:

@kairo in Channels

Mention @kairo in any channel or DM for quick help with context:

Editor Assistance

While editing files, ask Kairo for help inline:

• "Continue writing from here"
• "Rewrite this section more concisely"
• "Help me write a formula for this calculation"

How It Works

Kairo has access to tools that let it interact with your workspace: search, read files, create tasks, update docs, run calculations, and more. Kairo only sees what you can see — it respects workspace permissions and cannot access private channels or files you don't have permission to view.

Some actions require your approval before Kairo makes changes (creating tasks, sending messages, updating files).
