Kairo's computer
A cloud computer with a browser, terminal and desktop for work that needs one.
Some work needs a real computer: filling in a website, comparing pages, running a script, or working in a desktop app. Kairo can start a cloud computer for a conversation, with a persistent desktop, browser, terminal and files. It stays with that conversation, and crew members have computers of their own.
Watching and taking over
A live screen floats in the corner of the Kairo pane. Expand it to watch, go full screen, or take control. Kairo steps back the moment you take over and picks up where it left off when you hand control back. Taking control feels like your own computer, with normal keyboard shortcuts and copy and paste between machines.
Kairo sees the screen after each action, so it can carry out multi-step tasks in one reply. It can attach a repository, run Code agents, and save what it makes to Drive or to the conversation.
Asking first
Kairo asks before starting a computer, and before consequential actions such as submitting forms, buying something or running commands, depending on your permission mode. Signing in to a website always comes back to you. You can allow routine computer actions so it stops asking.
Sandboxed code
For quick calculations, parsing or checks, Kairo runs JavaScript in a sandbox instead of starting a computer. The sandbox has no access to your workspace or files, and no network unless Kairo asks for specific hosts.
Credits
Computer time is paid for with Code credits.
