# Custom domains

> Serve a site on your own domain, with HTTPS issued and renewed for you.

Sites in a Workspace Pro workspace can use their own domains, up to five per site. The site keeps its `coline.space` address too.

```bash
npx coline-app domains add www.example.com
```

The command prints the DNS records to add at your DNS provider:

| Type    | Name               | Value                                                |
| ------- | ------------------ | ---------------------------------------------------- |
| `CNAME` | `www.example.com`  | `customers.coline.space`                             |
| `TXT` | the name it prints | the value it prints, which proves you own the domain |

Then check on it:

```bash
npx coline-app domains status
```

A domain goes from `pending` to `active` once its DNS checks out and its certificate is issued, usually within minutes. Coline issues and renews the certificate. The console's **Site** settings show the same records and states and refresh pending domains on their own.

On an active domain:

* pages, links, the canonical URL and the sitemap use the custom domain;
* Sign in with Coline returns visitors to the custom domain;
* visitors who signed in on the `coline.space` address sign in again, since sessions belong to one host.

Remove a domain with `npx coline-app domains remove www.example.com` or in the console. Deleting a site removes its domains.
