# Mail

Mail brings your connected email accounts into Coline. Read, triage, write and search mail next to the rest of your work.

## Accounts and inboxes

* Connect one or more accounts. **All inboxes** shows every account in one list.
* **Split Inbox** shows your inbox views as tabs with unread counts. `Tab` and `Shift+Tab` move between them, and you choose which views appear.
* Workspaces can have their own addresses. In **Settings → Mail**, admins add custom domains, create mailboxes and aliases, route mail to people or groups, and check delivery health.

## Triage

* Archive, trash, snooze, star and label instantly. Choose where you land after archiving: the next conversation, the previous one, or the list.
* **Snooze** with presets (Later today, Tomorrow, This weekend, Next week) or type a time.
* Mute subscriptions in one click, and auto-archive promotions.
* Every Mail action is in search (`⌘K`), including snooze, labels, switching accounts and managing Split Inbox.
* Clear your inbox to reach Inbox Zero.

## Keyboard

Mail is built for the keyboard. A first-run card teaches `J`, `E` and `Z` on your real mail, and small hints show the key for actions you take with the mouse. The shortcuts dialog lists every key, can be filtered, and marks the ones you've learned. Hints can be turned off.

## Writing

* Reply with quoting, choose which address to send from, and add signatures.
* **Scheduled send**, **snooze** and **out-of-office** replies.
* Drafts save to the cloud and follow you across devices.
* **Follow-ups:** set a reminder when you send, and get a follow-up draft if nobody replies.
* **Open tracking** for messages you choose to track.

## Kairo in Mail

* Summaries at the top of a thread.
* Prepared reply drafts, written in the style Kairo learns from your sent mail. You can add Drive files as knowledge sources.
* Kairo can read, search, label, archive and draft mail when you ask.

## Shared inboxes

Work on mail together: leave internal comments on a thread that only your team sees, see who else is replying, and share a conversation from its menu.

## Search

Full-message search with operators such as `from:`, `has:` and `label:` across every message body.

## Attachments and invites

Save attachments to Drive, and accept or decline calendar invites from the message; the event lands on your calendar.

## Privacy

Remote images and content are blocked until you allow them. Drafts stay private on shared computers.

## Mail sent by AI clients

Mail sent by connected AI clients, such as [MCP](/api/mcp) clients and the API, waits in your **Outbox** until you send, edit or discard it. Held messages expire after 7 days, and anything newer you send yourself replaces them. A setting lets trusted clients send after a short hold you can cancel.
