## Start a call

Start a call from any channel or DM, or join the meeting from a calendar event. Meetings can start automatically at their scheduled time.

## Before you join

The pre-join screen checks your camera and microphone, lets you pick devices, and turns on background blur.

## Guests and the lobby

Calendar events and conversations have join links. Guests can join from a link without an account, and hosts admit people from the lobby.

## During a call

* A call bar keeps the call with you as you move around Coline.
* Share your screen.
* Record the call. Recordings get a transcript.

## After a call

Each conversation keeps a call history with recordings and transcripts. For calendar meetings, create meeting notes from the event and have Kairo pull out the action items; see [Calendar](/calendar#meeting-notes).
